Franz Josef Glacier

The drive from Queenstown to Franz Josef was miserable and rainy all the way there. I blame Phoebe! Every time she gets behind the wheel it starts to rain :p By the time we reached Franz Josef, we thought it'd be a good time to check out the glacier. To get to the glacier you have to walk, probably for about 20 - 30 minutes. About halfway there, it started raining and didn't look like it was going to let up, so we took some snaps of the glacier from a distance, and high-tailed it back to the car, and into town.

The town itself is tiny, and looks like one of those places you would only ever go to if you're a tourist! We celebrated Australia Day with pizza and beer at what looks like the only bar in town.
