Paris, France and Lisbon, Portugal

Day 1

Well we are finally on our way. Our European odessey begins. And its a pretty busy day to start. We were up before the crack of dawn to get to London Waterloo for our Eurostar to Paris. This was just a quick stopover to climb the Eiffel Tower. We had been to Paris 3 times before and had never done it, so we thought we'd better before we left for good. Going in winter is a good idea, as the lines for everything are much shorter. We only had to wait for about 5 mins before heading up. Sweet. Had a bit of a look around. Good view to be had from up there. After about an hour we got tired of Paris and decided that we should make our way to Lisbon.

Days 2-3

We had managed to score accomodation just of the main street which was great for sightseeing. Unfortunately the weather chose not to co-operate fully and it was raining, windy and quite chilly. We hadn't planned on our raincoats being put to use so early in our trip but they sure came in handy. Of course come the next day the weather was perfect, so we took the time just to stroll around the city and soak up the sun.
