This is definitely a place where you can get lost even if you DO have a map. There are just so many tiny alleyways that I guess they just can't cram them all onto a single map. Not that it was a problem to get lost, because we always ended up finding a familiar sign or place. Mind you, some of the signs are a bit misleading because they take you all around the island and back, just to get to somewhere that is probably only a few blocks away... kind of like signs in department stores that take you through all the merchandise when all you want to do is find the lifts or stairs.

But anyway, what else? On Sunday we took a "bus" out to the nearby island of Murano, which is famous for its glass-making. And as we found out soon enough, when they say "bus", they mean "boat". Go figure?! Jody, Phoebe, and I managed to kill a few hours wandering in and out of all the glass shops. Once again we had to restrain ourselves from shopping up a storm, because there's only so much stuff we can take back to Oz with us eventually...
