Venice, Italy

In the immortal words of the great Indiana Jones - 'Ahhh Venice'. And what a lovely place it is. Although on a hot day I think you would be forgiven for thinking that they had just forgot to cover the sewers. But that is fleeting and you are soon lost (both figuratively and literally) in the maze of cobblestone streets, piazzas, bridges and canals. We were lucky enough to be visting during Carnivale where everybody likes to get around in some elaborate masks and costumes to celebrate.

Alas Tammie and I did not find the time to partake in a gondola ride - so we will definitely have to go back at least once more :)
