Montpellier, France

Day 8

Montpellier was a lastminute addition to our already tight schedule, but we were glad we took time out to explore this cute little town. Full of old buildings, cobblestoned laneways and even some Roman ruins, we found it easy to just wander around and see the centre of town in a day. A large proportion of the town is occupied by the university, and the university buildings themselves are pretty cool - some look like old churches and castles!

At the edge of the town centre we found a ginormous aquaduct. We tried taking photos of it but they really don't capture the scale and length of the thing.... or maybe we are just crap at taking photos...

Dotted around the town we found these odd looking tiled space invader-esque things stuck to the side of random buildings. Haven't quite figured out what they are yet.
